Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs)

OMDs are disorders of the muscles and functions of the face and mouth.  OMDs may directly and/or indirectly affect skeletal growth and development, oral hygiene, stability of orthodontic treatment, facial esthetics, posture, breathing, chewing, swallowing, speech and occlusion.

Craniofacial Care treats conditions that affect the bones and soft tissues of the head and face.  These small areas can affect how you see, breath, chew, swallow and hear.  If left untreated, dysfunctions or imbalances in these areas can lead to improper growth, pain and lack of proper function.
